I am planning to do that this summer when it's warm enough to work in the driveway. Planning to pull the original seats and adapters, clean the tub, POR the rust and holes, bed liner the tub, then put in the new adapters, seats and belts.
You did a nice neat job. How long did it take? -------------------- 93 YJ; 4-inch BDS; Ford 8.8 rear; 4.56-gears; 33's; wench ...

The prep and the cleaning took the most time. I did it mostly nights after work in the garage. All in all, a good long day or day and a 1/2 for all the repairs and prep (scuffing). Then set aside a day to clean and apply. Plus add time for whatever POR application and dry time. I used POR Patch for seam sealer and to fill the holes from screws that were no longer being used. That stuff works great. Comes in a tube like RTV but has the consistency of grease and can be brushed on with a small acid brush. Because it went on thick in some places I gave it an extra day or so dry time before coming back to scuff it for the Herc to adhere.
The Herc was very easy to use. Cleaned the whole area with Xylene after scuffing. Dried it off with compressed air and went right on to application of Herc. Because it was cold out, the first coat took about 24hrs before it was tacky. Then I did the 2nd coat in which the coverage was much better. Very happy with the Herc so far. It does seem to hold down the noise a bit. Seems to be a lil bit warmer inside the truck too. Certainly not as good as carpet and insulation but better than steel floors. I've used POR products on several cars now and this is the first with Herc. If you have any questions feel free to ask, I'll try and help you out with whatever I can. Some suggestions. Go to the hardware store and get more scuff pads. I think I went through 6 of em. Scuff EVERYTHING. Every corner. Every indent. And the POR that you apply. Clean. Clean. Clean. Be borderline anal retentive about keeping everything clean. I used a roll of blue shop towels to wipe down with xylene. One hand with xylene soaked towels to wipe on. The other with dry towels to wipe off. Clean in about 2'x2' sections so it's not drying up on you. Fold and turn for clean application/removal and get new towels when they get dirty. A supply of rubber gloves. You will go through these. Xylene seems to eat them. -------------------- Meg "Which one is yours?"

Well, the Blazer needed some attention today. One front caliper was sticking and the other calipers bleeder screw was stuck so I just replaced them both. Also replaced front pads while I was in there cause they were low anyway. Replaced front shocks too cause they were old, one was leaking and one was bent. This Blazer also had the front quad shock set up (4 shocks, 2 per side) so I just converted it to 2. Went with cheapo replacements cause I plan on lifting it at some point, hopefully this fall/winter. Ended up replacing both front brake hoses also, one had a blockage in it and it was pulling to one side. All good now.
Then I took the top off and we went for a ride. Mea's (ice cream) in Halifax opened today for the season. MMMMMMMM... -------------------- Meg "Which one is yours?"

OK, we'll add new rear shocks to the list. This thing rides so much better now.
Also installed my CB. -------------------- Meg "Which one is yours?"
